Criminal homicide offenses are primarily found in Chapter 19 of the Texas Penal Code (abbreviated here as “PC”). However, many other crimes may involve the death of someone involved. For instance, Intoxication Manslaughter requires the death of someone involved in a drunk driving wreck, and the death of a person in an unintentional accident renders the driver liable to give aid and report the accident under penalty of a second degree felony.
